Plants crying for help in a changing world
WP3: Data integration
In this WP, Workshops (WS) will be organized on different topics ranging from ecology to phenotypic and microbiome data analysis. Ultimately, these WS will help to identify how plants and microbes respond to stress. These WS will be organized in Italy (IT) and The Netherlands (NL).
Task “3.1” Workshops on Omics applied to agricultural challenges (27 person months): WS1 – Plant fitness (IT), WS2 – GHG evaluation (IT), WS3 metabolomics (IT).
Task “3.2” Workshops on Ecology, ecosystem regeneration and multivariate statistics (24 person months): WS4 – Microbiome assembly (NL), WS5 multivariate statistics (NL), WS6 – Data integration of all disciplines (NL), WS7 – Ecosystem regeneration (NL), WS8 – Ecosystem engineering (NL), WS9 – The water cycle (NL).
In all these workshops (and exchanges), young and experienced researchers will be involved and trained in different methodologies to analyse multidisciplinary data and identify the plant traits or microbes that are active during stress.
Description of deliverables: D13 – Data integration and identification of plant targets, D14 – Data integration and identification of microbial targets, D24 – Workshops on metabolomics, plant traits and GHG, D25 – Workshops on Microbiome and Multivariate statistics. The main outcome of this WP will be the in-depth analysis of plant and microbiome data and the identification of plant and microbial targets that could be later used either for the development of diagnostic kits or the design and application of functional, stress-ameliorating SynComs.
