Simon plays an important role in the Environmental Engineering and Management program at AIT. As an environmental microbiologist, he specializes on the eco-physiology of methanotrophs and their role in GHG mitigation from heavily-disrupted ecosystems: rice agriculture, wastewater and wetlands.
“My research mission is to elucidate microbial processes that rule global challenges such as global warming, and to develop microbiology-centered solutions to mitigate GHG emissions”.
